Dr. Steven McConnell

Dr. Steven McConnell graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco. He is a certified specialist in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and, since 1978, has owned The Marin Center for Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry in Novato & Mill Valley. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association, and he is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Locally, he is a member of the California Dental Society and the Marin County Dental Society. He has completed additional education and training in a number of specialties, including sedation dentistry, nonsurgical periodontal laser therapy, and CEREC restorations.

Dr. McConnell integrates advanced technology and waste reduction, minimally invasive techniques, and non-toxic materials into his patients’ treatment plans while maintaining a paperless office. His commitment to environmental responsibility is a natural outgrowth of his dedication to the highest standard of patient care. Performing digital X-rays in lieu of film and using CEREC natural porcelain crowns rather than traditional laboratory-made restorations reflect the green initiative he instituted in 2001.

Considered a compassionate practitioner as well as a master clinician and dental artist, Dr. McConnell was recently nominated by his peers and selected by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of “America’s Top Dentists.” He is also a dental health expert for Smart Now, a website devoted to providing health, fitness, and wellness information to the public.
